*sigh*
Hope you like the new February-look to the blog! (I figure I’ll try to change the blog’s look each month to make it more relevant and exciting. My mom and sisters are all school teachers, so I have bulletin board decorating in my veins! And since this is the closest thing I have to my own personal bulletin board, I figure it’ll be fun to be seasonal / theme-y! :0) Yay!!!)
With the start of the new month, it’s also time for another Bible verse! This one has really reached out to my heart recently…
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the LORD
In the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
-- Psalm 27:13-14 (New King James Version)
The NKJ version was the version used in the Bible study that recently pointed it out to me, so that’s the version I am going to memorize. But here’s the same verse in the NIV translation. (I like this too.)
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
--Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)
I love this verse because it speaks of God’s love and goodness and protection and strength, and it speaks to my tendency to be a total worry-wart. Do not worry; do not fear. Wait on the Lord with courage, and He will strength my heart and show me His overwhelming and amazing and loving and life-giving goodness. Wait with total trust on the loving Lord.
Happy February! <3
